Salman Khan Will Attend IIFA Awards in Singapore

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will reportedly add to the glamour at the upcoming 13th International Indian Film Academy awards. 

Contrary to reports that none of the Khans are going to attend the IIFA this year, the Bodyguard star will be in Singapore for the Bollywood                                extravaganza,sources close to the award ceremony said.

Salman will be returning to IIFA after two years as he did not attend last year's awards. 

Parties thrown by the actor at the IIFA are very popular.It is not clear yet whether Salman will be performing at the awards gala night where Wanted director Prabhu Deva will be choreographing the performances by various actors.

The IIFA weekend is being held from June 7-9 in Lion City Singapore.

Post the success of "Dabangg", Sonakshi Sinha maintained a low profile and stayed away from media glare. She says it was not intentional as she was working non-stop during that period.


"It was not intentional. I don't think anything that I do is intentional...It is just a coincidence as some films got delayed due to whatever reasons," Sonakshi told reporters here, adding that her second release "Rowdy Rathore" is coming before time.

"In fact, 'Rowdy Rathore' is releasing early...I have no complaints that I was not seen on screen for one-and-half years as I was busy shooting for all the films that I signed, doing advertisements and shows. "Rowdy Rathore", directed by Prabhu Deva, will see Sonakshi romancing Akshay Kumar. It hits the screens June 1.


The 24-year-old has five major films in her kitty right now. Sonakshi said: "I feel I am blessed. I love what I do and I look forward to doing that every single day. If I have one-two day gap in between, I think what to do? I feel I am lucky-I am doing 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2', 'Joker', 'Dabangg 2', 'Son Of Sardar' and 'Lootera'."

"I thought I will never do any movies. I did not know that I would end up doing movies. I feel it is all due to destiny, I don't think there is anything else. I was studying fashion and was almost on the verge of becoming a designer, but acting happened by chance to me. But when a film like 'Dabangg' is offered to you, you can't say no," she said.


The actress gives credit to her "Dabangg" co-star Salman Khan for encouraging her to become an actress.


"The credit absolutely goes to Salman. He always encouraged me. When I was studying fashion, at that time he used to tell me leave all this and become an actress. I was like very huge (overweight) that time and used to ask him how can you see an actress in me? He encouraged me to become fit and join the film industry. I will always be thankful to him," she said.

Mumbai: Katrina Kaif is all praise for her 'Dhoom 3' co-actor Aamir Khan's TV show 'Satyamev Jayate' and says that given a chance she too will attempt a show on small screen provided she can add value to it.
Khan's debut show deals with sensitive social issues backed by statistics. The first episode was aired on May 6 on Star Plus. In the first two episodes, Aamir touched upon things like female foeticide and child sex abuse, receiving a roaring response from the audience.


"I did not get to see the show...unfortunately I was working. But lot of my friends have seen it and lot of them have tweeted also about the show saying it is one of the best TV shows in recent times. 


I have heard about the topics that he has shown..it is amazing. Whatever he does is of high quality and he has lived up to expectations," Katrina told reporters here last evening, on the sidelines of a 'Nakshatra' event here.

When asked if she would like to do a show on TV, Katrina said, "I don't know..it has to be something that should make sense for me and I could do well. Like Aamir has done this show brilliantly so if you can do it brilliantly then why not. I would do a show on which I think I can add something to it ...then only I would attempt it."


Katrina would be seen opposite Aamir in Aditya Chopra's 'Dhoom 3', which is scheduled to hit the screens next year.

Sanjay Dutt Out Salman Khan will Host Big Boss Season 6

Salman Khan does not need a partner this time. The actor has agreed to host Bigg Boss 6 on his own, reports Mid Day. Sanjay Dutt who co-hosted the previous season along with Salman would not be a part of the upcoming season. The star will return to his favourite show later this year.

"Even though Salman is presently shooting in Thailand for a film with Katrina Kaif, the makers have already sounded him about being part of the new season as well. He has agreed to host it. He alone will be the host for the sixth season,” a source told the tabloid. Madhuri Dixit's Jhalak Dikhla Jaa will go on air before Bigg Boss. 


“The dance reality show which has Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Remo Fernandes as judges will go on air first followed by a talent hunt show. Only then will Bigg Boss air," the source added. Though Sallu's date diary is choc-a-block, the actor would still take out time for the show as his family members are avid watchers of the show.
